At the time, there was not a single restaurant in Japan where you could enjoy delicious Italian food for less than 10,000 yen.Chef Carmine Cozzolino's first restaurant was opened here in Saikumachi, Shinjuku, with the concept of allowing people in Japan to enjoy the essence of Italian cuisine in a casual atmosphere. About [Owner and Chef] Carmine Cozzolino

Born in Calabria, Italy in 1955.At the age of 15, he moved to Florence to train as a chef, and came to Japan in 1978, inspired by Japanese martial arts and Buddhism.After working as head chef at restaurants such as "Vis a Vi," he opened "Ristorante Carmine," Japan's first restaurant run by an Italian owner-chef, in 1987.
